I got my start in editing by providing informal editing and translation services to friends and colleagues. I have honed my skills in these areas over years of practice and pursuing various professional development opportunities prior to launching Okra Editorial, LLC.

My own academic background is in public health and anthropology. I also have experience in farmwork in the Southeastern US - with okra being one of my favorite vegetables (to grow and to eat)!
